Vick Audio Fuzz Box - Pedal of the Day

Vick Audio Fuzz Box

The Fuzz Box from Vick Audio is a simple, one-knob fuzz with a ton of character. A reproduction of the legendary Fuzz produced by Colorsound in the early 90’s, the Fuzz Box can go from slight buzzy overdrive to a HUGE fuzzy extravaganza, all while retaining the clarity of your tone. It is very responsive as well, depending on how hard you hit the strings, and reacts well with both bridge and neck pups (I only tried humbuckers, so not sure about single-coils). Use the volume on your guitar to clean it up a little bit, or crank it and watch the Fuzz Box shine.

Warm and fat, huge gain if you need it – this thing will easily cut through any mix, and with one simple knob to control, you can dial in your sound on the fly if need be. Such a tonal range in such a simple design, Vick Audio hits a home run with this simplistic approach to buzzsaw fuzziness. And I’d like to thank Mike Vickery as well for donating this great pedal for testing, keep up the great work!
