Lovepedal Echophonic Jr Delay

The Echophonic Jr Delay from Lovepedal is like no delay I’ve come across yet. The control knobs are simple enough: Delay, Time, Volume, Repeats and Modulation. However, they work together in such a way that the sonic possibilities seem, well, endless. The ‘Delay’ knob allows the signal to go from All Wet to All Dry, which provides a huge range of tones right off the bat. You can adjust the amount of delay you want coming through your signal, from extremely subtle to full-on spacey. ‘Time’ lets the user dial in exactly how fast or slow the delays come out, giving this pedal a warm, analog sound, and provides up to 750 milliseconds of optional delay.

A great feature of this Echophonic Jr is the ‘Volume’ control, which not only does exactly what a volume knob should do, but it can act as a clean boost for the front of your amp, if you want a little push to go along with your delayed signal. I like to turn the Volume up to boost for solos, adding a nice delay but still being able to cut through the mix clearly and with some oomph. The ‘Repeats’ knob is pretty self-explanatory, but mix that with a little bit from the ‘Modulation’ knob, and you can get some crazy sounds, from a slight shimmer to full-on oscillation, and everything in between.

All of what you’d expect from a relatively straightforward delay, with a couple of nice surprises and features to dial in your sound. An incredibly diverse, warm, vintage-style echo and delay pedal, all in a cool retro-looking solid enclosure – Lovepedal knocks this delay out of the park.
