The K-Buffer by FoxPedal is built using a classic buffer design as seen in the famous Klon Centaur (yeah, there are unicorns inside).

You need a buffer. Really, you do. Every time I hand a musician a buffer pedal, they say “I don’t think I need one of those”… then they try it and say “Wow, I can’t believe my tone was so bad before, now I know!”

Bottom line is that your guitar pickups weren’t made to push a big signal through a long cable to a stompbox that may or may not play nicely with it, through even more stomp-boxes, through another long cable to your amp. The buffer changes everything. Its a subtle effect, but it brings everything to life. Fairy dust.
