Keisman Pedals Thunderbird 2-In-1 Drive

The Thunderbird from Keisman Pedals is an awesome 2-in-1, combining their Velvet Drive and Earl Bird pedals into one modestly-sized enclosure, and providing the user with a nice array of sounds and tones to beef up a guitar’s signal.

The Early Bird side gets things started by providing a nice clean boost to your signal, with all the levels around noon. A light-medium drive, the right side of the Thunderbird produces a warm, Bluesbreaker-type tone, and can even get a little bit growly if you crank the Gain. The Velvet Drive can also be used as a light drive, but it really shines when you want a little meat in your tone. Give that Gain knob a go, and listen to your amp purr with delicious warmth, clarity and bite. There’s even a Bass Boost switch to ramp up the low end, which is always welcome in bigger gain drives like these, especially for all you Strat & Tele players out there. Turn them both on at the same time, if you dare, but be sure your neighbors are on vacation, or you could get an unexpected visit from the cops. This thing will make your amp sing, at low and high volumes, and can do a broad range of drive tones to your specific sound and playing style.

The Thunderbird is a versatile drive pedal, and with 2 sides to either choose from or combine, it’s a great addition to any pedalboard setup. These great Keisman pedals are coming from a place I hold dear, the small mountain town of Boone, NC. I lived there for 7 years, and am so stoked to see a company as down-to-earth and nice putting out such quality gear from such a tiny town. Thanks to Brian and everyone there – keep up the good work, guys!
