e-wave compressorThe E-Wave Compressor is a great cheap compressor. It’s based around the original Ross compressor circuit with an added attack knob. If you’re looking for something to get you started in the world of compression then this is the pedal to check out.
For only $45 you’re not going to find another pedal this great. It pays its dues to the original Ross and has the added versatility of the attack knob. It can go from a great clean boost all the way to squashy funk with the turn of the sustain knob.

I’ve opened up the circuit to make certain it was true bypass. The wiring is pretty well done, (not too messy) and the case is pretty sturdy. You’re not going to be breaking it anytime soon.

Only complaint is that if you leave a drive pedal on it can get a bit noisy if you don’t have a volume pedal after your drives but that’s pretty standard with compressors anyways. Overall, you can’t beat it for the price. The tone is pretty great, especially for $45.
