TC Electronic Hall of Fame Reverb

The $87 I spent on this used pedal might have been the best $87 I ever spent on anything guitar-related…or not guitar-related, who knows? What I do know is this: the Reverb sounds coming out of the Hall of Fame from TC Electronic are incredible. The options are pretty much open to any type of reverb you could want, plus it has the super-cool Tone Print feature, like a lot of TC Electronic’s pedals have, which I think is a really unique and versatile option across the board for that line of pedals. All in a nice, small, space-saving enclosure – what more do you need?

The Hall of Fame boasts 4 control knobs and one tiny toggle switch – pretty easy, right? Well….sort of. The amount of options you have with this little pedal are daunting at best, in a good way, of course. Decay starts us off, controlling the overall length of the reverb sound. You can easily shift from a slight, transparent reverb all the way up to trippy, outer space tones with a twist of this knob. The Tone control adjusts the overall sound, from dark and creepy to bright and crisp. FX Level does what you think it does, controlling how much of the reverb signal is mixed with your guitar’s dry signal. The small toggle switch in the middle controls the lapse of time between your signal and the reverb signal, which is a cool little feature to mess around with as well. Finally, the Reverb Type Selector, from which you can choose any of 10 different preset types (Room, Hall, Spring, Plate, Church, Mod, Lo-Fi, Ambient, and Gate), plus you have the option to upload (via your smartphone or provided USB cord) any of the TonePrint® Signature Effects from the website or app directly into your pedal. Awesome.

This pedal will cover just about any reverb type and sound you could possibly want, and the sounds it produces are the classic TC Electronic reverb tones we’ve come to know and love over the years. From subtle, slight echoes to deep, booming delayed reverbs, the Hall of Fame can do it all. Check out some TonePrint® options on their site – it’ll be hard for you not to find one that can be of some use to you and your guitar!
