Mad Pedals Psyger Drive

This is the Mad Pedals “Psyger Drive” Psycho overdrive, and it really has a mind of its own. The top knobs from left to right are claimed to be tone on left, Volume on right with gain in the middle, but I have found that both top knobs affect the tone and volume but with their own unique characteristics. This pedal has a custom shop, one of one style paint job, with a clear lacquer to seal the color. As the video describes, this pedal is basically a “Klon on steroids”.

This one is very Centaur-like with its overdrive, being very creamy and harmonically rich. The upper left ‘tone’ knob all the way off will cut some low end and high end, pretty subtley (is that a word?) creating a subtle mid boost type drive. With the tone at 12 o’clock your guitars true tone is represented well. The gain knob (middle) i find to be useful to toggle clean (all the way off) and dirty (5 o’clock). As far as volume, well, it acts like an output knob. I find at about 2 o’clock to be unity gain, any further is a boost.

Watch a demo of this pedal HERE, or buy this exact pedal HERE. Cheers!
