fuchs audio technology plush good verbrations reverbWith an astounding amount of recent reverb pedals with more options than you can shake a stick at popping up in the last few years, it’s refreshing to have the opportunity to sit down and enjoy a nice, simple pedal. Not that the other reverbs aren’t fantastic and useful in their own rights, but sometime you just want to be able to conjure up a great sound without having to read a 500-page novel. The Plush Good Verbrations Reverb from Fuchs Audio Technology does just that: it’s a powerful, ambient reverb with a small control section and huge tones.

With only 2 control knobs here, the Good Verbrations pedal makes it extremely difficult for you to NOT be able to dial in a great sound with ease. Decay lets you control the precise amount of decay the reverberated signal has, from a quick, short echo tone to a HUGE, ambient, vast-space echo, and a whole lot in between as well. Reverb controls the amount of reverb that gets added into your signal, which is a great option to have for any pedal, but one of these in particular. Mixing the Wet and Dry signals allows you to have as much or as little of the effect as you want, which can be essential to a pedal like the Good Verbrations. With it’s true bypass, unity gain and low impedance output functionality as well, this little gray box will fit right in with the rest of your gear.

The sound that comes out of this thing is incredible as well, especially for having such a small control section and not many options at all. Producing warm and smooth reverbs, the GV is one of the least digital-sounding digital reverbs I’ve played, and has a glorious analog-ish sound to it, instead of the tinny, harsh reverb tone that some modern pedals can produce. Made from only the highest-quality parts, as all Fuchs Audio products are, this reverb features a BiFet op amp, 16-Khz digital reverb circuit, Neutrik connectors and a mil spec fiberglass circuit board for a long-lasting and great-sounding pedal. Thanks to Andy, Annette and everyone else over at Fuchs Audio for letting us check out this gorgeous-sounding reverb pedal – look for more reviews of the Plush lineup of pedals coming soon!
