Here at Pedal of the Day, we’ve been diggin’ the stuff that Pedal Monsters has been putting out for a while now, having reviewed the Bright Lights, Mad Hatter and White Lightning overdrive pedals so far. This time around, we’re excited to switch it up and move into a different pedal category altogether: REVERB. The older brother of the one-knob Well Reverb, this one features a few new options, but has the same “DNA” as it’s younger counterpart. With just three controls, the Galaxy has HUGE sound pouring out of it, and puts up a strong case for replacing any simple reverb on your board.

The 3 controls for the Galaxy Reverb are as follows: Feedback, Tone and Reverb. The Feedback, or Decay is a fun one, as it lets you play around with different levels of intensity and length of reverb that the Galaxy has to offer, while working together with the Reverb knob to combine for a plethora of crazy, reverberated sounds. The Tone control gives a nice bite when cranked up, as well as smoother and mellower verb tones when dialed back a bit. The Reverb knob is basically a Mix knob, adding in or taking our the reverb effect from your signal path, depending on how much you want, and how you’re using it to figure into your overall sound. These three easy-to-use knobs can create an abundance of sonic properties, from huge, effect-laden washes of tone that cover your amp like a blanket, to quaint, subtle echoes that add just a hint of sparkle and pizazz to your tone.

We test out a LOT of reverb pedals here, and this one really packs a huge punch for such a small and simple piece of equipment, which is just awesome. With it’s trippy, stunning graphics, simple controls and huge sounds, the Galaxy Reverb is simply a potent, wonderfully simple and down-to-earth (pun intended) reverb pedal, featuring Belton Brick technology, true bypass and only the highest quality internal components. This little space traveler will really give whatever you’re current reverb is a run for it’s money, and A/B-ing it with whatever you’ve got is gonna be a lot of fun. Taking a big step forward, Pedal Monsters shows they’re not just a pretty overdrive company, and the Galaxy Reverb absolutely proves it. Don’t forget to check out their website for more gear, too!
