MM Effects Fuzz - Pedal of the Day

MM Effects Fuzz

A little while back, we reviewed a sweet, nostalgia-filled pedal called the Outatime Drive, from some friends of ours across the pond, MM Effects. While that is a killer drive in and of itself, they sent another little electronics box for us to check out, today’s featured pedal, simply titled Fuzz. A bare bones, no frills dirt box, this thing looks simple, but will liven up both your playing and your amp in a hurry.

Featuring three controls and a lone toggle, you don’t need a degree in Astrophysics to figure out how to use this guy, but there’s still plenty of exploration to be had. Being a very simple silicon fuzz, the controls are as follows: Volume, Tone and Gain, almost like a traditional overdrive pedal, but with that delicious fuzz sound. There’s one simple toggle as well, that switches between 2 internal diodes, one that is a bit quieter and warmer, while the other is a bit harder-edged, with a bit more volume as well.

All in all, the Fuzz is a great guitar or bass effect, with just enough range and options to make it extremely interesting and useful to any setup. Can’t thank the crew at MM Effects enough for sending this and the Outatime our way to review – hope to see many, many more exciting creations from these guys in the near future. For now, if you want to experience them for yourself, check out their Facebook page, and see what they’ve got waiting in store for ya!
