Ground Control Audio Blood Oath Overdrive

At Pedal of the Day, we love discovering new companies that are putting out great gear, and today’s pedal and company are a prime example. Ground Control Audio comes to us via Montreal, Canada, and their flagship pedal is what we’ll be looking at today. The Blood Oath Overdrive is a nice, low to mid gain drive that has a great sound and a nice EQ section to dial in whatever dirty sounds you might be after.

The Volume knob on the Blood Oath controls the volume, of course, and the Drive knob features a nice range of sounds. You can easily do a wonderful clean boost to beef up your tone or cut through a mix for a lead part, get a little gain-y with a low-ish drive tone for an added tonal element, or crank it up and get some clear but heavy overdriven sounds.

The dual EQ section we love, and with both a Treble and Bass control, you really have total control of how the drive is going to tonally sound. Mixing these two controls with the wide spectrum of sounds from the Drive control really open up the pedal for experimentation and tweaking.

With a ton of possibilities and able to work great as a first or second stage overdrive, the Blood Oath will fit right in to any board you’ve got with ease.
