Small Grey Pedals Europa ReverbFun, fun, fun. Today’s pedal provides a great deal of, well, FUN, and sounds great as well. Not to mention it comes to us from a small (no pun intended) pedal company, and we love to see the non-mainstream stuff the little guys are working on, and help get the word out about their companies as well. Small Grey Pedals has a great name, a unique look and some great sounds, and their featured pedal today is the Europa Reverb.

Level and Tone are the first two control knobs on the Europa, and they function just like they should, with both having a nice range to play around with and dial in. Swell is up next, and has a couple different functions. First, it controls the “ramp” function of the pedal – when turned all the way down, no ramp is present, but when cranked, it takes on a dwell effect, similar to a sustain pedal found on a piano.

It’s second function is to interact with the second footswitch, Feedback. As stated before, when the Swell knob is turned counter-clockwise, depressing the Feedback switch sends the Europa into awesome self-oscillation, creating a huge wall of noise and experimentation. As it gets turned up more and more, the Feedback switch becomes a little less prevalent, but lets you use it as a rad, rhythmic effect to counter-balance the reverberated sounds being emitted.

Check out the video below to see what this puppy is capable of – we’re super-excited to have discovered this rad company, and can’t wait to get some more stuff coming our way to review. Thanks to all at Small Grey Pedals for the opportunity, now get on over to their site and help support some incredible effects-makers!
