PuzzleSounds Deep Blue Custom DelayOne of our favorite things here at Pedal of the Day is when someone sends us a custom pedal with our logo on it – since we have no clue how to actually BUILD these pedals, seeing our design embossed on an effect is a pretty rare and cool thing that we appreciate a lot. The guys over at PuzzleSounds not only didn’t make us build the Deep Blue Delay they sent us, but they emblazoned it with our signature circle as well, making today’s pedal just that much more fun to talk about.

The Deep Blue Delay is a simple, three-knob echo machine that delivers true analog delay sound in a modern digital box. An extraordinary and very transparent delay with an identical bandwidth to older analog circuits, this stompbox gives you all the vintage-sounding tape delay tone you can handle, and has a nice range of 25ms – 450ms as well. It keeps an amazing sound quality thanks to its dedicated audio processor IC, while still emanating classic delay tones of decades gone by, giving you the best of both vintage and modern echo eras in one little pedal.

PuzzleSounds LogoAs you can see, the logo makes us a little bit bias towards this pedal, but it would to you to, so don’t fault us for it! Not to mention it sounds awesome, and can do wonderfully warm slap back tones and tape delay sounds with the greatest of ease. If you’re handy with a soldering iron and want to try your hand at building a pedal or two, check out the affordable kits in the PuzzleSounds store, and see what they’ve got waiting for you to explore!
