Tortuga Effects Martini™ Dual Analog Chorus VibratoPedals that can perform more than one function or contain more than one effect are always welcome with open arms (and ears) here at Pedal of the Day. Today’s featured pedal, the Martini™ Dual Analog Chorus Vibrato from Tortuga Effects, features two incredible-sounding effects rolled into one smooth box, with differing sounds and tones for days. If you love a good vibrato sound or adding some chorus to your tone, this might just be the pedal for you.

Containing a real bucket-brigade analog delay chip, the Martini™ provides some lush, analog chorus sounds that will add sparkle and pizazz to your sound at almost any setting. Switch over to the second channel via the ‘How Strong?’ footswitch, and select from a cleverly-named toggle switch, with ‘Shaken’ (Chorus) and ‘Stirred’ (Vibrato) modes for you to choose from. The Single and Double knobs control the rate of speed for each channel, with both of them sharing the Mix knob that rounds out the controls.

What’s great about the Martini™ is that you can set up each channel just how you want it, then have two separate sounds to alternate between on-the-fly, providing you with two completely unique sounds at your disposal. Your clean sounds will benefit from the organic analog sounds produced, and sounds awesome when mixed in with a little overdrive or distortion. With so many sounds available, it’d be pretty hard for you to NOT find a couple settings you could use, either live or in the studio. This was our first foray into Tortuga Effects, and after testing this guy out, we can’t wait to experiment with more of their gear in the near future.
