L.R. Baggs Align Series Chorus

We had heard about the Align Series of pedals from L.R. Baggs, so we were more than excited to do some more acoustic pedal demos, starting with the Delay that we checked out a couple weeks back. Next up is today’s featured effect, the Align Chorus, which seeks to enhance the overall sound of your acoustic instrument, without drowning it in a sea of chorus. Easy to use and a true tone booster, let’s see what this guy is capable of.

Volume and Tone get the control section rolling, letting you adjust the output and EQ of the effect, respectively. Tone only affects the chorus effect, and will give you a wide range of warmth and radiance to work with, dialing in the perfect EQ for any setup. The Chorus control acts as a blender between your dry signal and the wet affected signal, allowing for the perfect melding of the two sides to produce your ideal tone. The Size control is unique here as well, featuring two different chorus voices that you can keep individually or blend together, for numerous settings that will promote different sounds and punch.

In short, the Chorus adds fullness behind your guitar without any signal degradation, utilizing simple and intuitive controls that help you dial in a pleasing effect quickly and easily. As you’ll hear in the demo below, you can add in just a bit of the effect to beef up your sound, dial in a nice, warm overall tone with settings near the middle or crank it up for an extreme chorus flavor with the dials maxed out. Lots of combinations to choose from and sonic exploration to be had from the Align Series Chorus, that’s for sure. Thanks again to L.R. Baggs for letting us peruse another pedal in this lineup, stay tuned for more to come!
