The innovative pedals coming out of the FTelettronica camp are impressive, unique and always full of options, just the way we like ’em. After reviewing their Schumann PLL Analog Harmonizer and Zero-Sum Game Fuzz Filter, we were stoked to check out some more of their gear, and we’ve got the first one of the bunch for you today. The FTelettronica Pedals Sonic Dream Analog Delay is an echo machine, yes, but so much more. With modulation and fuzz on tap as well, this little beast strays from any sort of norms….
As far as controls go on the Sonic Dream, you’ve got your usual delay suspects present, as they should be. DELAY sets your delay time (between 20 and 1200 ms), FDBK controls the number of echo repetitions, BLEND adjusts the volume of the delay effect and MASTER controls your overall Output volume. Being an analog delay, there’s some modulation thrown in as well. DEPTH and RATE adjust the intensity and speed of the modulation,. respectively, while a toggle switch allows you to choose between Sine and Square modulation waveforms. Lots of potential here, kids.
No FTelettronica pedal would be complete without at least one twist and turn, and that’s where the FUZZ comes in. This control lets you gradually dirty up your sound, going from clean to overdrive to fuzz, with a ton of options in between. You can also cut off the Dry signal completely, giving you a glorious 100% wet effect to manipulate and experiment with.
Again, this isn’t your ordinary delay pedal, and we love that’s it’s not. Really interesting stuff coming from FTelettronica Pedals, and the Sonic Dream Analog Delay just adds to that list.
