The King Wizard Germanium Fuzz Driver from Portland, Oregon-based spellcasterFX immediately sucks you in with a wild, trippy aesthetic, then keeps you enthralled with a huge spectrum of tonal shifts, boosts, drives and, of course, lots of FUZZ. Sort of like three pedals in one, this yellow-and-blue beast will give your favorite fuzz a run for its money…
The King Wizard is your new “always-on” pedal, delivering the best clean tone, overdrive and fuzz in one pedal. This fuzzy mammoth uses a PNP germanium transistor coupled with an NPN silicon transistor to create a dynamic, touch-sensitive fuzz with an open and transparent response. With the Gain set low, the King Wizard adds slight compression and grit for edge-of-breakup response. From there, more gain can be added to go from amp-like, touch-sensitive overdrive all the way to raging fuzz! The dynamic tone stack gives you control over presence and contour allowing you to sculpt a wide range of fuzz tones compatible with single coils or humbuckers.
It’s all about the sonic range here with the King Wizard Germanium Fuzz Driver, and the ability to go from breakup to overdrive to glorious fuzz is key to this awesome pedal.
