I’m excited to team up with the crew from PEDALXCHANGE.com once again for today’s unique, wonderful pedal. The Freqsecene Effects Koldwave Analog Chorus Vibrato sends you headfirst into modulation territory, whether you need a slight tonal enhancement, or full-on lost-at-sea vibes. Taking a vintage circuit and giving it a modern makeover is the game here, and the results are utterly fantastic…

The Koldwave features all those classic ’80s lush chorus sounds you know and love, but with more functionality, range and features added in. A little more depth and speed than the classic CE-2 circuit are present here – with the Speed knob fully clockwise, it can do the rotary speaker thing. An added Vibrato mode gives you all the lo-fi, warped vinyl, seasick sounds you could want. The warp knob is the Koldwave’s secret weapon, and will get you those super detuned rubber band sounds as well.

Unlike the original, the Koldwave Chorus Vibrato is true bypass, along with reworked EQ filtering in the preamp, to really bring the CE-2 circuit to life. A lot of the CE-2 muddiness is now gone, too, giving it more of a “3D” tone.

The Koldwave Analog Chorus Vibrato is the result of over a year of tinkering, countless revisions and roadblocks along the way, and the work & effort put in really shine through. Sometimes chorus pedals can be too weak, not have enough speed range, make your volume drop, etc. etc., but not this guy. If you’re looking for prolly the last chorus pedal you’ll ever need, the Koldwave is an excellent contender.
