Nunomo S-AMP Cabinet Simulator
The great thing about the S-AMP is that it thrives on working with pedals, like a real amp would. Plugging in an overdrive, delay or anything you want in front of it really beefs up the sounds emitted from it, and makes practicing and song structuring that much more fun and interesting. With the lone output being an 1/8″ headphone out, a pair of nice headphones are the obvious choice to use with it, but, as you will hear in the demo video below, you can run it via TRS cable directly into an audio interface, for a more natural, vibrant sound than a typical DI might provide.
Able to run at 9-18V, you can also beef up the headroom if you so choose. Using high-quality components is a must for a device like this, and Nunomo made sure that they did it right. Using a balanced-armature unit (this type of unit is used only for high-end earbuds) for internal speaker and MEMS Microphone for capturing sound, the audio captures excellent frequency response characteristics, for a full, bold and emblazoned sonic party. Thanks to Ryan from Nunomo LLC for sending this cool and unique device to us to check out – we’ve got a review of their next pedal coming up soon, so keep an eye out for that! In the meantime, head over to their website for all the details on the S-AMP, one of the most powerful practice tools you’ll come across this year.
