NUX Mighty Lite BT Mini Modeling Amp

We’ve got something a little different for you today, courtesy of our friends at NUX. The Mighty Lite BT is a mini-modeling, desktop, Bluetooth amplifier, that only takes up a small space but has some extremely powerful features. It’s lightweight, can run on a power supply, batteries or USB power, and it even has Bluetooth connectivity, for both playing music AND controlling different parameter settings. There are even some hidden features, so let’s see what we can find!

The Mighty Lite has a pretty bold control section for it being so small, but it all just adds to the fun of this little amp. Gain, Volume and Tone are your standard amp control knobs, and they all correspond with the Clean channel, as well as the Overdrive and Distortion channels, which are accessible with the push of button. The Delay/Reverb button adds each of these effects into the mix as needed, with a Tap Tempo button right above to let you set the time of the Delay. There are also more options available via the Bluetooth App, such as selecting from 4 different delay and reverb types, and the ability to control their individual parameters as well.

Next up: the Drum Machine. Now, while there’s really no amp drummer that can substitute for the real thing, the Mighty Lite provides 9 different types of drumming styles: Pop, Metal, Blues, Country, Rock, Ballad, Funk, RNB and Latin. The speed of the drums can be set with the Tap Tempo switch as well, when in Drum Mode, and there’s even a metronome option for use to improve your guitar skills overall. The drum machine can also be controlled via the App, which even includes 4 hidden modulation effects and a noise gate, for really customizing this little guy to your specs.

The App also has a backing track library, to further enhance what this amp can do. An Aux input lets you connect a music player, too, for jamming along with your favorite tracks for hours of fun and improvement. There’s even a headphone jack for silent playing late at night, or when you want to simply block out all other noise and focus on your playing. Small but big at the same time, the Mighty Lite BT takes the small, low-watt, desktop amp concept to the next level, with multiple options and tricks up its sleeve to rival any product in its class. Check out our demo below to hear it in action, and head over to the NUX website for all the details on this mini gem of an amp.
