Stomp Under Foot Skinner Box Distortion

Today’s featured piece of gear gives you that exact feeling, and with a simple but bold control section, the Skinner Box Distortion from Stomp Under Foot lets you easily achieve that euphoric atmosphere, almost instantaneously.

Based on the rare “Bud Box” Rat, the Skinner Box is made with an obsolete, metal can version of the famous LM308 chip. This produces a warmer distorted tone, and gives you a more versatile pedal all-around. With Level, Tone and Gain controls, there’s not a ton to figure out as far as settings, but the fun here is in the experimentation with different combinations of these knobs. Everything from amazing overdrive sounds to huge walls of distortion are on tap here, with the Tone control allowing you to dial in the perfect EQ position for any rig or musical recording setup that you might have.
