Beetronics WhoctaHell Octave Fuzz Synth Drive

The craftsmanship and unique effects pedals that have been coming out of the Beetronics camp the last couple of years have been pretty exciting, and we are lucky enough to get to check one of them out today. The WhoctaHell is a crazy, wild effect, combining octave, fuzz and synth tones into one glorious machine, perfect for anyone who likes to make noise and draw attention to themselves at a gig. This one is from Beetronics’ Custom Shop as well, making it even cooler than it already is, as you will soon find out.

A true Low Octave Fuzz, the WhoctaHell features independent controls for the Octave and Fuzz sides of the pedal. You have the option of turning the Octave on or off via the left footswitch, while the right footswitch engages the Drive/Fuzz portion. The Whocta knob sets the volume of the Octave section, while the Hell knob controls the volume for the Overdrive/Fuzz. A toggle switch lets you choose either one or two octaves down, and a Master Volume on the side of the enclosure lets you control the overall output production.

Boasting a custom steel designed enclosure, true bypass circuitry and Neutrik jacks, the WhoctaHell is flashy and sophisticated in all the right places. Blending the octave in with the dirt section really opens up some incredible sonic possibilities, creating new and unexplored territory that will have all the pedal nerds asking you, “Hey, what’s that rad pedal you were using tonight?” Nice job from the Beetronics crew – stay tuned for a couple more of their pedals hitting POtD soon, and be sure to peruse our demo to see and hear this thing in action!
