One of two different models, the Freakshow Fuzz (Silicon) puts a totally whacked-out, freaky fuzz right at your fingertips, offering up ample fuzz sounds with that signature bite only silicon transistors can provide. The B-312 Silicon Freakshow Fuzz features a wide array of controls, with many options and combinations to whet the sonic appetite of fuzz fans the world over. Tone, Fuzz and Output control adorn the top row of the parameters, offering up just what you need to get an excellent base fuzz sound with ease. Also present are external bias and trim controls, offering flexibility with symmetry, gain structure, and clipping. There’s even a selectable input impedance buffer circuit, offering a brighter sound, but also helping to remove high-end roll off and oscillation that can occur when Fuzz is not placed first in the signal chain.
With a brighter, more modern sound, and more gain on tap, the B-312 Silicon Freakshow Fuzz is a completely different animal than its big brother, the B-313 Germanium Freakshow Fuzz (review and demo coming soon!), but still boats the rugged good looks and hard-as-nails builds we’ve come to know and love from all Big Joe Stomp Box effects.
