Today’s pedal gave us all the feels when we cranked it up, and will continue to do so for years to come. The Wurm Distortion from KMA Machines pays homage to a legendary effect, but adds its own twists, turns and terror to create a truly unique and enjoyable distortion pedal.
Based on the now-classic HM2 Heavy Metal from Boss, the Wurm continues that pedal’s tradition of boost and tone-shaping by offering numerous tonal options for which you may choose. Volume sets the output, and Terror controls your distortion amount. The real beauty here is the EQ section, which lets you adjust the Lows (60Hz-150Hz), Low Mids (300Hz-1050Hz), High Mids (950Hz-3.2kHz) and Highs (1.4kHz-5kHz), enabling the perfect mix for any setup, rig, recording or practice session. These are further tweakable via internal trimpots, which allow you to set the center frequency for each of these four parameters.
Not only that, there are internal dip switches as well, which let you activate/deactivate the classic HM2 EQ, get into High Mids range for that special Swedish metal chainsaw sound OR dive into the High Mids Wurm EQ for total control and fine tuning of your tone. Bringing destruction, fear, grief and malice with it, the Wurm lets nothing stand in its way, including you and your audience, so be prepared.
