Let’s face it: there are a LOT of overdrive pedals to choose from out there. We should know, we’ve had more than 200 come through our shop over the years. It’s also a genre that never seems to let up, with older and newer companies alike pumping out great drive after great drive. So, what makes the Shnobel Tone Daily Driver™ stand out from all of these choices? THE SOUND. The simple control section and lone toggle may not seem too dazzling or flashy, but there’s a lot going on inside this black beauty.
The Volume and Gain controls set the stage for this diverse overdrive pedal, controlling the overall level output and distortion levels, respectively. The nice 2-knob EQ section, consisting of a Boost/Cut knob for both the Low and High frequencies, allow you to create, shape and experiment with a multitude of sounds. The toggle switch is a three-position High Cut toggle, giving you more options in dialing in THE SOUND you’re after, and maybe have been searching for for years.
Since there aren’t a ton of bells and whistles here, or MIDI or 14 toggles or anything along those lines, we’re going to let the Daily Driver™ speak for itself.
