Bowman Audio Endeavors Fortune and Glory Boost

So, our friend James Bowman, who happens to be the guitarist for Against Me!, decided he wanted to build some guitar pedals (as Bowman Audio Endeavors). He sent them over to us to check out, and we’ve got the second one in the lineup today for you. After the wild and dirty Harmonic Percolator, the Fortune and Glory Boost might seem a little tame. However, this one-knob wonder can get down right DIRTY if you want it to…

Modeled after the classic SHO pedal, the Fortune and Glory Boost is MOSFET boost, based on the negative feedback control of 60’s recording consoles. Using NOS Allen Bradley Resistors, it is transparent when engaged, and is capable of 60db of boost at max volume. It adds a layer of clarity and high end to your signal, going from a bit of crunch all the way to a super smooth overdrive. As the demo below will show, there are many increments of tonal gain available as the knob is slowly turned up, allowing for the perfect setting in any rig.

There’s not a lot more to say about this one, except that the build quality looks fantastic, and it sounds just incredible. The Boost pedals are something that often become overlooked, in favor of fancy modulation or loud distortion. We’ve known for a while now, though, that boosts can be an essential piece to any setup, in any genre. Thanks to James for sending this one over, we always love a great boost pedal, and the Fortune and Glory is no exception. Be sure to visit the Bowman Audio Endeavors website, as well as all things Against Me! Cheers!
