Lo-Fi Mind Effects Revenger Fuzz

We’ve all heard the classic Tone Bender Fuzz so many times, on so many timeless songs, whether we knew what it was or not. Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck, Mick Ronson, Pete Townshend…the list goes on of great guitarists who utilized this fuzzy effect. However, they are now rare and extremely expensive to obtain if you can find one, so many pedal companies have taken it upon themselves to re-create affordable (and updated) versions of this fuzz. The one w have today is the Lo-Fi Mind Effects Revenger Fuzz, a classic two-knob design built on old school parts and vintage sounds…

The Revenger is based on the professional Sola Sound Tone Bender MkII and the Marshall Supa Fuzz. Huge fans of Led Zeppelin, it is one of Lo-Fi Mind Effects’ favorite fuzzes, and above all, the one they have studied the most. Feeling that all the replicas and originals that they tried were missing something, a push, the Revenger was born. It’s a classic Tonebender, for sure, but hyper-vitaminated with very subtle Attack and Volume controls.

The Lo-Fi Mind Effects Revenger Fuzz is mounted on PCB with NOS components, such as metal can Mullard OC41 transistors, Philips and Mullard Mustard capacitors, NOS Piher resistors and vintage hand-painted wire. It’s a real plug-and-play type of pedal, with excellent sounds being made at pretty much any settings. Sit down with it for a half hour, and you’ll find the fuzz tone you’re looking for.
