29 Pedals EUNA Elite UNity Amplifier

Much like the Boost pedals we were talking about in the other day’s review, there are certain pedals that you sometimes don’t even know you need. Today’s pedal is one of those, hands down, and it’s hard to even describe why. When a piece of gear works, sometimes it just works, without explanation. However, we’ll try our best to tell you about the 29 Pedals EUNA Elite UNity Amplifier…just be patient, please.

The EUNA is an input driver that replaces a conventional buffer, designed to protect and condition your instrument’s signal. Placed first in your effects chain, this blue marvel preserves “touchyness” and “snap”, while also increasing the effective dynamic range of your signal. Three sweetening circuits, H, B & L (Harmonics, Bright and Low) let you easily and simply figure out tonal enhancement. These switches provide a bit more low end, a touch of brightness and tube-like charm to your sound.

EUNA uses a WHATEVER power input, meaning you can use AC or DC, 7.5 to 35 volts, and it consumes about 100 mA. This thing is even DIY-friendly, as you can open up the back and swap out different Opamp chips, to really tailor your rig. A single 4 layer PCB uses 2oz copper throughout, along with huge traces and fully plated holes, for superior fidelity and transmission. 1% thin-film resistors, WIMA film caps and other audiophile-grade components complete the short signal path here as well.

There’s even an alt-path insert loop specifically designed for use with your vintage wahs and fuzz pedals, that don’t play nicely with buffers. When you switch EUNA off, the loop becomes active, giving you guitar-direct-to-fuzz routing. In short, this is a signal enhancer, tone-shaper, buffer-replacer and rig protector extraordinaire. As soon as we plugged it in, we knew something special was happening, as have everyone else we’ve heard talking about this lately. Cheers to Believable Audio and 29 Pedals on an incredible, pedalboard-friendly sound shaper PLUS, it’s on our demo board and not going anywhere. Check out their website here for more info, and you can see/hear the EUNA in action in our demo video below – cheers!
