Valeton VLP-200 Multi-Track Sampler Looper Drum Machine

The VLP-200 features dual independent loopers that collaborate, unlocking limitless musical possibilities. Two built-in looper collaboration modes (SERIAL & FREE) allow for easy parallel playback of two loops or transition song sections between two loop tracks. You can store up to 99 project spaces, with each space capable of storing a stereo recording file of a single LOOP for up to 4 minutes, totaling a maximum of 7 hours of stereo files!

VLP-200 also has 100 new built-in rhythm patterns with a metronome, composed of 24-bit, 48 kHz high sampling rate drum samples, adding to the overall sound it can produce. When you start recording a bottom track while the drum machine is active, the VLP-200 automatically quantizes the phrases, ensuring that playback of recorded segments stays synchronized with the drum machine. You can set the BPM of the drums on the fly, and select from multiple patterns to fit your current song or musical style.

You can even connect the VLP-200 to the computer via USB, to use Valeton’s free software for project management and firmware updates. The independent looping and pretty good-sounding drum patterns really make this little guy stand out – as you’ll see in the demo video, I had a LOT of fun figuring out how it worked, and was able to make some fairly rad song structures with ease.
