Formed around a PT2399 chip, Go Fly A Kite starts off with three main controls: Repeats, Time and Mix. This is an analog-voiced delay, and a toggle switch allows you to choose from 2 different delay time modes – Short (60ms~600ms) or Long (615ms~1200ms), which is plenty of time for most of us. Not really a self-oscillator, you can get some long, gorgeous repeats that will fill up a ton of space, without all the craziness and unpredictability.
Another main feature here is the addition of a Send/Return loop, into which you may insert any other effects you’d like. In our demo below, we utilized a Mojo Hand FX Nebula Phaser and an EarthQuaker Devices Rainbow Machine, and the results were out-of-this-world. This feature is definitely one for all you sonic experimenters out there, as you can get pretty crazy repeats going as new effects are added into the mix.
Having elements of Dogman Device’s Air Delay/Fuzz, Go Fly A Kite features a different frequency response and better input impedance, and sounds simply fantastic. A plug-n-play pedal, for sure, you can also sit down and get lost for hours twisting knobs and tossing other effects into that loop.
