Sundance Electronics Clean Fuzz

Last month, we checked out our first pedal from Sundance Electronics, the HI-1 Fuzz, and it was a complete ripper. Needless to say, we were excited for a second pedal from these guys, and we’ve got it for you today. The Clean Fuzz is anything but, as it is a super versatile distortion/fuzz aimed to work wonders on both guitar and bass.

There are three simple control knobs present on the Clean Fuzz – Volume, Clean and Gain. While you can take a wild guess at what the Volume and Gain knobs do, the Clean parameter is an interesting addition. Mixing your dry signal with the dirt, this knob controls the amount of clipping from the diodes, like adding clean signal on top of your dirty tone which in some ways feels like adding for headroom. There’s a toggle switch on the top panel as well, which allows you to switch between either germanium or silicon + germanium pairs of diodes, for more sonic flavoring.

Working perfectly with your instrument’s Volume knob, the Sundance Electronics Clean Fuzz gives you a wide range of sounds with which to pulverize your amplifier. A completely hand made, point to point / terminal strip pedal, it uses only high grade parts and soft click foot switches.
