Industrialectric System-46 Analog VCO

We love a lot of knobs and switches on our pedals – who doesn’t?? The effects coming from Industrialectric, however, are in a musical category all their own, and today we’re looking at their System-46 Analog VCO. At first glance, this thing is extremely daunting, but after you plug it in and start playing around with it….well, it turns out your first instincts were correct. Let’s dive in and see if we can shed some light on this massive machine…

System-46 is an analog Voltage Controlled Oscillator that tracks the incoming signal’s phase and locks onto it. The oscillator signal is then split into a Dual or Single harmonic voice with two distinct channels.

System-46 is comprised of:

– AN ANALOG VCO WITH A SINGLE HARMONIC VOICE OR DUAL HARMONIC VOICES, SPLIT INTO TWO CHANNELS WITH MIX CONTROLS AND EXTENSIVE CONTROL OVER THE SYNTH PARAMETERS
– DUAL AMPLIFICATION STAGES FOR EACH HARMONIC VOICE PATH
– TWO SEPARATE WAVESHAPERS, WITH LDR (LIGHT DEPENDENT RESISTOR) CONTROL AND CUSTOM SPOTLIGHT ATTACHMENT
– HYPER – RINGMODULATOR (ALTERNATE MODULATION) WITH MODULATION PHASE MODES
– PULSER (PRIMITIVE TREMOLO)
– SYSTEM STABILITY CONTROL FOR FULL SYSTEM FUNCTION OR FULL SYSTEM DESTRUCTION
DISCONNECT FUNCTION TO CUT THE INPUT SIGNAL AND USE THE SYSTEM – 46 AS A FULL OUT CHAOS SYNTH ON IT’S OWN

Confused yet? Us, too, but we sure had a blast figuring out how it all worked. The demo below is fairly lengthy, and only scratches the surface of what the System-46 is capable of, but we hope you dig it anyway. If you like your pedals with three or less knobs and no frills or thrills, then this might not be one you go and order immediately.
