The V550 is a true-to-life digital simulation of a Peavey 5150 Mk.1* tube amplifier, created using TC Electronics unique AMPWORX modeling technology. Every detail of the original tube amp has been lovingly re-created in painstaking detail by the TC tone technicians, right down to every last component in the circuit, bringing you the best digital amp modeling experience available. The goal here went beyond technical measurements, as TC also wanted to capture the authentic and genuine feel of this wonderful amplifier.
The list of features here is long, but the V550 is also ready to rock right out of the box. Switch between the 5150 channel and a high-gain lead channel, add in up to +18dB of on-board Boost, and dial in your perfect sound with 7 parameters, including Resonance and Presence controls, along with a 3-band EQ section. The Boost can be set Pre- or Post-Amp, for a variety of flavors, and the D.I. options integrates the official Celestion Digital impulse response of the legendary G12M Heritage speakers in a closed back 4×12 cab.
