We’ve been powering effects pedals in our shop with help from Voodoo Lab for many, many years, as they’ve become a go-to staple in the power game. But what about the actual pedals themselves? Thankfully, they make those, too, and the first one we’re looking at today is the awesome, vintage-tinged Superfuzz.

The rare Jordan Electronics Bosstone (circa 1968) is considered by many to be the ultimate vintage fuzz. The Voodoo Lab Superfuzz starts with this classic fuzz design and adds unique tone and resonance circuits to create an amazing new array of fuzz tones. The Tone control delivers a wide spectrum of midrange and bass timbres, everything from an extreme gain scooped tone through a raucous, bluesy, prominent mid voicing. The Resonance control is a sub-harmonic booster that lets you add an aggressive bottom end not typically found on fuzz pedals. Attack varies the gain from rich and creamy to outrageous.

The Superfuzz is our first foray into the Voodoo Lab pedal realm, and we couldn’t have started on a better note. With an analog circuit that provides classic 60’s and 70’s fuzz, true bypass switching and proudly made in the USA, we’re excited to deep dive into the rest of their effects over the coming weeks. Thanks to Voodoo Lab for partnering up with us – be sure to check out their website for more info, and don’t forget to watch our demo below!!
