The UAFX Lion ’68 Super Lead Amp gives you the classic British amp sounds made famous by decades of legendary artists including Jimi Hendrix, Van Halen, Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, and more. This is the only pedal that delivers the dead-on tones of three distinct 100-watt plexi amplifiers. Built on powerful dual-engine processing and world-class UAD modeling, you get all the gorgeous cleans, aggressive breakup, and hot-rodded roar of the originals.
Lion includes three independent amplifier models, each of which provides different amp character and features. BASS is based on the classic 100 Watt “Super Bass” amplifier. The Super Bass is great for cleaner tones, fat rhythm tones, and bass. LEAD is based on the classic 100 W “Super Lead” amplifier. Similar in design to the Super Bass, but with a big reduction in bottom end and an increase in available gain. BROWN takes the Super Lead to a higher gain level, employing several signal chain changes including a Variac to reduce the voltage, an EQ pedal with customized settings, and an EP-III preamp.
Lion has true stereo I/O and footswitchable live, preset, and boost modes. Controls include both volumes, treble/middle/bass/presence, output level, boost, six miked cabinets, and room tone. With the UAFX Control app, you can configure the input routing, noise gate, bright cap, and ghost note settings.
