Summer School Electronics Class Reunion Overdrive Fuzz Distortion

The lineup from Summer School Electronics has just gotten better and better with each new release, and today’s new pedal might just be their best one yet. The Class Reunion Overdrive Fuzz Distortion combines all elements of those three effect genres into one beautiful and still pedalboard-friendly enclosure, for a wide range of awesome, dirty sonic prowess. Lots of knobs and switches here, let’s see what this one is all about…

The Class Reunion is a combination of Summer School Electronics’ take on a 90’s Russian Big Muff and their Trash Panda Overdrive Distortion wired in parallel with master Volume and Blend knobs. Each side features its own Drive and Tone controls, as well as a diode toggle switch. The Muff side achieves classic distortion/fuzz tones, while the Trash Panda gives you a crisp and refreshing overdrive. By blending the two circuits and making different diode combinations, The Class Reunion can open up a world of riff-writing possibilities.

This one is pretty bold and amp-crushing, but can get into lighter crunch territory as well, for a balanced and well-rounded effects unit.
