Some of the funnest and best-sounding effects to come through the shop over the last few years were from our friends at Supercool Pedals, and I’m excited to help with the release of their latest creation today. The Triniphase Multi-Stage Phaser has a simple layout, but within those few parameters lies a cornucopia of amazing modulation sounds to explore. While phasers aren’t for everyone (for some strange reason), they’re one of my favorite effects, and this pedal demonstrates just why…

The Triniphase is an all-analog OTA-based phaser effect that is based on the legendary Ross Phaser pedal, but with many modifications and setting options that make it capable of achieving many classic phaser effects, and beyond. This pedal can achieve a wide array of sounds, from psychedelic sweeps, to vintage rotary speaker spirals, voice-like formant modulations, organic vibratos, self-oscillation chaos and more. The Triniphase is a versatile modulation effect than can add rich movement and texture to your instrument of choice, while maintaining your volume and tonal integrity.

The simple user interface allows you to easily recall settings with simple buttons, clear indicator lights, and minimal dials to adjust, while maintaining complex modulation control with a stylish and intuitive design. The aesthetics here are a nod to the classic Trinitron television sets, popular in the ’80s and ’90s, bringing a nostalgic, vintage look to a sound that’s also many decades old. Moving easily from Untamed sweeps to Octo-Vibe tones to 8-Stage glory to just complete Wow!, this pedal will be a welcome addition to any modulation lover’s dream pedalboard.
