The Nervous Energy Fuzz Distortion Overdrive from our new friends at Radio Wave Effects brings the essence of a rare old pedal into the modern era, with dirty tones for days and days. This one even has a hidden feature, which always makes for fun exploration and something unique to bring to the pedal game – let’s get this show on the road, shall we??

Nervous Energy is a compact sonic powerhouse inspired by the rare Double Beat Fuzz Wah. What made the Double Beat unique was the ability to select between 3 wave forms to shape the sound-sine, triangle, and square wave. Nervous Energy uses just the fuzz portion of the original circuit, eliminating the wah and modifying all 3 wave forms for ultimate user experience. What remains is the heart of what matters: rich, saturated fuzz tones that can turn any instrument signal into a full-blown sonic eruption.

Designed to deliver a wide range of fuzz – from warm, vintage-style textures to searing modern tones — Nervous Energy is versatile and intuitive. For the more adventurous, it offers a chaotic self-oscillating octave mode, accessed by turning Stimulation all the way up, and Mood and Hyperactivity all the way down. The signal then becomes an intriguing self-oscillation octave-like tone, letting you hear the frequencies battle it out in a nervous fit of sustained energy!
