Summer School Electronics Fuzz 101

I’m back with another new release from our friend Mark at Summer School Electronics today, and it’s the perfect pedal for a Thursday…or any day, for that matter. The Fuzz 101 is a new take on a classic fuzz circuit, with everything you need to introduce or reintroduce fuzz in your rig. Featuring any easy control layout and a broad spectrum of vintage and modern fuzz sounds, this pedal will add some oomph and amazing tone to your rig in mere seconds…

After a year of releasing complex modulation, spacey reverb, an international collaboration pedal and a full pedalboard in a single pedal, Summer School Electronics gets back to basics in 2026 with Fuzz 101. A seemingly simple fuzz pedal with some tricks you need to hear. More than just a 2-transistor fuzz, Fuzz 101 includes a unique RAT-inspired tone stack, a pair of BC108 transistors, and an external Bias control that allow the user to play everything from classic saturated sustained fuzz sounds to sputtering velcro chaos. Whether you’re new to fuzz, or are looking for a refresher on the basics, Fuzz 101 will inspire some new riffs (and much needed sonic chaos) in your life.

Each Fuzz 101 offers the following features:

• Volume, Fuzz, Bias and Tone controls
• A unique tone stack based on a Rat filter control
• External Bias control to dial in a variety of fuzz sounds.

• 9-volt operation with a stranded DC input.

Founded in 2020 by school teacher/musician Mark Turley, Summer School Electronics incorporates school themes and brings a fun aesthetic to pedalboards worldwide.
