Supercool Pedals SPRITZ! Saturator Compressor Overdrive

Jamie at Supercool Pedals always puts out pedal designs that are very much his own, and I’m excited to share his latest creation with you all today! The SPRITZ! Saturator combines 2 classics, Compression and Overdrive, to create an effect entity that will surely give your rig a much-appreciated boost, both in tone and output. Inspired by a bright orange cocktail enjoyed on the streets of Rome, this pedal beckons you to say YES to new opportunities, directions, sounds and artistic endeavours…

Inspired by cult-classic OTA-based compression circuits (Ross Compressor, MXR Dyna Comp), the SPRITZ! Saturator is, at its core, a wonderfully clean and easy-to-dial-in compressor that delivers crisp and juicy saturation with improved bass response. The SPRITZ! Saturator takes things even further with its clever “tube simulation” circuit, which adds a single JFET transistor into the mix. This delivers a wide range of grit from natural amp-like breakup and harmonically-enhanced attack, all the way to searing-hot tube amp and overdrive tones.

The “Tube” button adds a JFET boost circuit (chosen for its tubelike breakup) post-compression, allowing you to achieve a wide range of grit, from lightly tamed sizzle to fully overdrive tube amp madness. The Sustain control is effectively controlling the threshold and release amount of the compression effect simultaneously, moving from just a splash of juicy saturation to delightfully squeezed dynamics, sharp attack and increased sustain. The SPRITZ! Saturator serves up the perfect cocktail of effervescence, zest and sweetness to your tone.
