Friday Club PD100 OverdriveFrom the twisted, brilliant mind of Jack Deville comes another pedal in his line of effects with the Friday Club moniker, the PD100. This simple-looking overdrive is anything but, producing a good bit of crunch when dimed, and a wonderfully clean boost when set at lower levels. A perfect front-end effect for your board, it will drive an amp into sweet sonic glory and work with other pedals to enhance your all-around tone.

The Master is a volume control, and, like all Friday Club pedals, there is an abundance of output on tap, assuring that you will not only NOT get lost in any mix, but that you’ll pretty much overtake it if you want. The Treble control has a decent range, and gets pretty high-end heavy after around 3:00, but sounded just right from about 9:00-2:00 or so, with useable tones throughout that portion. The Overdrive knob sets the gain and grit of the PD100, getting richer and a bit more compressed at higher levels, but still allowing for big, beefy, crunchy tones to come shining through with ease.

Friday Club Pedals LogoAs Mr. Deville says on the Friday Club site, this pedal “cleans up like late night meth-head with a shop broom,” and absolutely hilarious quote that we couldn’t agree with more. Gorgeous boost properties and thick gain sounds ooze from this black beauty, and work as an excellent first or second-stage drive in any rig. Thanks so much to Jack and all at Friday Club for letting us get our hands on this overdrive machine – they’ve got an excellent lineup in their online shop for you to choose from, make sure to check it out and see for yourself!
