Today’s post, while not technically “pedal-related,” is still an exciting discovery on our part (maybe we’re just late to the party, who knows?). Though we don’t cover a TON of acoustic pedals here, we have had our fair share, and are, of course, always looking to improve the sound of ALL our instruments, not just the ones that are loud and ROCK. Coming across the website FU-Tone.com was a bit daunting, to say the least, as they specialize in everything from pickups to bridges to nuts to tuners and much, much more. The things that really triggered our interest, however, were these: the Brass Acoustic Bridge Pins.
With two options, Titanium and Brass, these pins seek to upgrade your overall acoustic tone, and bring out the very best sound qualities your guitar has to offer. Once installed, the strings seem to have more pep, richer tones and added definition to their sound. They enhance without taking anything away, too, if that makes sense. Your overall tonality remains in tact, but is enhanced, more pronounced and better articulated.
The metal in these pins takes your string’s vibration and amplifies it, really accentuating the way your guitar is meant to be heard. More robust sound, sonic flavor and overall presence, these pins are a must for ANY acoustic player, regardless of what kind of guitar you’re currently playing. The Titanium pins probably have a bit of a different response, but both sets do the same thing: make your guitar sounds better. Flat Out.
