Stoked to be back with another pedal from our friends at Bananana Effects today! After checking out a couple of big boxes (the Quimera and the Tararira), we’re starting our journey into the world of their smaller, pedalboard-friendly effects, with the Aurora Pitch Shift Multi-Delay. Tossing everything normal about delay pedals right out the window, this little gem will open your eyes and ears instantly, allowing creativity and a new approach to writing to take center stage…
The Bananana Effects Aurora is a delay pedal with eight modes, allowing flexible control over pitch, speed, and playback direction. With features such as chromatic pitch shift delay, delay at 2x and 4x speed, reverse delay at ½x, 1x and 2x speed, and 2x speed trigger delay that automatically samples and loops your previous phrase when triggered by a break in the input sound, this delay pedal will enable you to create experimental and radical sounds.
Each mode provides you with a new and exciting sonic creation tool, pushing the very boundaries of what you thought you could do musically. Increase or decrease the pitch on the repeats, speed up sampled sounds, reverse the direction of your delayed notes and much, much more. The Aurora is a nice, compact pedal, too (how they crammed all the modes into an enclosure this big is beyond me), which means it will fit in perfectly with any rig, either live or in the studio.
Delay is my favorite type of effect, and when someone takes the “norm” and turns it upside down, thst’s when I really get excited about effects. The Aurora Pitch Shift Multi-Delay does that time and time again, with sooooo much packed into such a small package. If you’re looking for a conventional analog delay sound or crystal-clear digital *exact* repeats of your signal, you’d better look somewhere else. If you want to experiment and create and have lots of sonic fun, the Aurora is perfect for you! Thanks to Bananana Effects once again – be sure to visit their website for ordering and more info, and check out our demo video on YouTube…cheers!!
