Classic Audio Effects Yukon Reverb RollerContinuing in the tradition of reviewing and demoing the Roller series from Classic Audio Effects, today we bring you our third pedal featuring this unique design. We loved how the Stumphouse Drive and Transponder Delay worked with this particular innovation, so of course we were excited to see how it worked with a reverb effect. The result is the Yukon Reverb Roller, a reworking of Classic Audio’s Amethyst Reverb, with a great batch of sounds and the ease-of-use we’ve come to love about their pedals.

Being a room-style reverb effect, the Yukon’s overall range in the roller is impressive, easily fluctuating between subtle reverberated sonic flavorings to massive and expansive concert hall-type sounds, filling entire rooms up instantly, no matter the size. The Tails control lets you adjust the decay of the effect, letting it end quickly or fade out into an elongated, ethereal mist. The Mix control helps to even out the presence of the reverb in any given situation, providing as much or as little of the effect as is deemed necessary.

The roller itself features 270° of rotation, allowing you to accurately fine-tune the amount of ‘verb in your signal. With a reinforced drive belt and fully sealed bearing drive system, you’re sure to have this pedal going for you for years, and the sturdy aluminum enclosure and soft touch true bypass relay switching just add to the amenities of the Yukon Reverb Roller. There’s even an LED that gets brighter or dimmer depending on what the position of the roller is at any given time.

Classic Audio Effects LogoAs previously stated, we dug the Amethyst Reverb that Classic Audio put out a couple years back, and are extremely impressed by the Yukon they’ve just created as well. There’s another version of this pedal, too, which gets rid of the roller in favor of a regular control knob, and features a second footswitch for storing a preset as well. These two versions make the Yukon’s tones accessible to everyone, depending on preference and individual setups or rigs. Thanks to Curt and everyone at Classic Audio Effects for another rad creation – we love the roller pedals, so keep ’em coming!
