Over the last couple of years, we’ve had a blast testing out and investigating the affordable lineup of effects coming from CNZ Audio. Delving into delays and echoes, overdrives, octaves and even a phaser, there was always one pedal that we had out eyes on specifically, and we’re bringing it to you today. The SMD-10 Mod Station traps a ton of different effects into one tiny enclosure, then unleashes them unto the world one at a time. Looking for outer space tones, slow & sweeping accents or just an all-out modulated sonic explosion? Then you’re gonna dig this pedal.
The controls are fairly easy to figure out on the CNZ Audio SMD-10 Mod Station. Level sets the effectiveness of the effect, Depth sets each modes intensity and Speed adjusts the rate of whatever effect you’re currently using. Each of these three knobs apply to each of the 11 modulation modes, which are as follows:

P.Flanger
N.Flanger
Jet Flanger
Vibrato
Univibe
Phaser
O.Tremolo
B.Tremolo
Auto Filter
That’s a lot to fit into a pedal of any size, much less one that measures just 3.75 L x 1.77 W x 1.9H inches. And at a price point of just sixty bucks, it’s hard to beat on ANY level. In order to truly showcase each of these modes, we needed to make a demo. A LONG demo.
